Old HuntDN Hostel Old Haunt’s, Bar & Grill is a newly renovated bar At the Old Haunt, you will feel like the spot where you go to hang out and meet up with your friends. Well, your friends might be new ones and the spot might not look the same, but the feeling of meeting new mates and feel welcome will remain still. The activities will vary according to the daily mood, time and the atmosphere. Also, If there is a match worth watching, a movie to check out, or another reason to celebrate or experience to share, the hostel will have the Bar open. Our grill becomes the mainly spot to hang around. It’s not used just by the Staff but it’s also a cooking facility used by our guests. DN also offers you a variety of dishes and drinks to taste and drink. With specialties, deals and cheap drinks and food specials, you’ll enjoy DN as your home away from home. SafetyFor DN, for having a great time, safety is the first thing to take care of. Outside: DN improves its security by being in contact with the police which makes sure that your time in Bogota will make our city one of your favorite places in the world. Candelaria, being also, a 470 years old neighborhood, has become one of the nicest areas in South America and a much visited spot. After being so touristy, is necessary to be protected and the police has achieved the goal accordingly. At the same time, DNHostels decided to promote Colombia hiring locals and working with social responsible politics. Today our staff is a tool to put out the best information so nomads can diversify their treks and find new directions that would make the best of their trip. Then, the promotion of new places and the possibility of promoting a new Colombian became an option for the hostel. Now thanks to all this process, the actual Colombian local community is joining the tourism economy and sharing what the country far from drugs and violence, has to offer. Location: The hostel is placed in a fully university area being surrounded by 2 of them; therefore is very busy with students and a fun place to hang around. Inside the hostel: you will find lockers with 24/7 supervision and also big lockers inside the rooms, where you can leave your things. Storage room: The hostel has a locked storage room, where you can leave your things while going somewhere and you don’t want carry around. Suggestions: Bogota is a huge city (8 million people), and as any other big city in the world, you have to make sure that you know where you are going before hand. And follow the first rule of any smart traveller. If you are walking around and don’t feel comfortable and safe, just grab a cab and get to your destination no matter if it’s very close. If you want to take some pictures, take them, but put your camera away after that. Now, Bogota, as well as Colombia has a particular advantage. We love hosting and helping foreigners, so if you are lost and require some help, don’t hesitate to ask for it. People will help you out.
